Grandkids are Great!

My name is Anita, I have three grown children two daughters and a son. I'm happily married to a terrific guy. I'm 45, yet I'm blessed with two fantastic grandsons, Robin 4, and Collin 1. I work full time as an office manager, and part time in a family business. My days are full (a little too full sometimes:) but I'm happy.

My first love after my family is Aikido. Aikido is a self-defense method originating in Japan in the early part of the 20th century. The techniques of Aikido center upon but are not restricted to throws and hold downs using joint manipulation and the momentum of the attacker's body. Aikido was founded by Morihei Ueshiba, known as O-Sensei to aikidoists, and was a deeply religious man who decided to develop a sysem which would allow a person to defend himself without necessarily causing great harm to his attacker, thus solving the gentle person's dilemma over the need for self-defense in an ungentle society. Aikido, then is a versatile art giving us, on one hand, the capacity to inflict tremendous damage to our attackers while, on the other hand,stessing the use of the least force necessary to defend oneself www.fortunecity.com
